The core loop
Mistfall Hunter is an extraction ARPG. Enter Gyldenmist-laden ruins, collect loot, fight Corroded enemies or rival Gyldhunters, then extract before one bad fight wipes the run.
- Treat your first sessions as scouting runs.
- Bank knowledge before chasing rare loot.
- Extract early when the bag is already valuable.
How extraction works
The official site says extraction requires finding a rare Returner Woodling, defeating it, taking a Soul of Return, and using that item to find your way home.
- Listen and look for PvP pressure while hunting the Returner Woodling.
- Do not start the extraction chain with no healing left.
- If your squad is split, regroup before committing.
First-hour priorities
Learn enemy tells, weapon swap timing, common loot routes and escape choices. Winning every duel matters less than leaving alive with useful gear.
- Bring a simple loadout you can afford to lose.
- Avoid noisy fights until you know nearby paths.
- Practice one class and one weapon pair before experimenting.
