Prioritize readable fights
Extraction fights punish visual clutter. Choose settings that make enemy windups, silhouettes and ground effects readable even if that means lowering expensive effects.
Performance checklist
Start with stable frame rate, then improve visuals. PvP trades and Souls-like dodge timing feel worse when frame pacing is unstable.
- Lower shadows and heavy post-processing first.
- Keep resolution high enough to read distant movement.
- Test settings in PvE before risking strong gear.
Controller note
Steam lists partial controller support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers. Keyboard and mouse may still be preferable for inventory speed and target switching.
